“I chose San Antonio because it is here that I stepped into the spotlight back in 1994 at the Tejano Music Awards for the very first time, and it is here, at the iconic Majestic Theatre, that I will take the stage one last time,” announced EYA frontwoman Elida Reyna, confirming her and her group’s final performance on tour. After 34 years as one of Tejano music’s greatest icons and road warriors, Latin Grammy Award-winning band Elida Reyna Y Avante embark on their “Farewell” Tour, with new US dates posted, including additional stops in Texas and Florida. The Majestic Theatre is honored to present them this Friday, December 12, 2025, in a sweet, nostalgic night of your favorite Latin melodies since the ‘90s!
With numerous Tejano Music Awards under their belt, including multiple wins for Song and Female Vocalist of the Year, Elida Reyna Y Avante exemplify the roots of the genre, whether on air or stage. On their last LIVE show together, Reyna and her long-standing five-piece band will perform all the beloved hits and best-selling singles from three decades of unforgettably groundbreaking Tejano-born tunes laden with inspirations from hip-hop, mariachi, norteño, and other Latin styles. They deliver hallmark hits like Song of the Year choices “Duele” and “Luna Llena,” with several more critically acclaimed melodies such as “Lagrimas De Amor,” “Te Sigo Amando,” “Prefiero Morir,” and “Juntos Hasta Morir.” Recent releases will also make their debut in concert, featuring the romantic ranchera “En El Mar” and the emotional “Tonto A Mi Lado,” which showcases the singer’s expressively powerful vocals.
The Elida Reyna Y Avante discography offers much to celebrate for Tejano lovers. Their first and sophomore studio albums, Atrévete (1994) and Algo Entero (1996) were certified Gold favorites that led to the Latin Grammy-winning records Fantasia (2010) and Colores (2018).
